Short description

FEAF has been working for the Traditional Culture from 1984, so some of them have been doing activities about Traditional Culture for a Century in Spain. More than 150 associations of the whole Spanish territory are represented by this non-profit-organization, which have dedicated its work, effort and time to preservation and safeguard of the customs and traditions in Spain, especially traditional apparel, music and dance. FEAF is developing an "Overall Plan to put  basic lines to continuing working for the Traditional Culture, which was in a suitable place in the field of the Culture. FEAF is developing actions in different areas to defend and to safeguard the I.C.H., knowing Conventions and Recommendations of UNESCO and taking part in a Not of Law Proposition for the Protection and Promotion of the Traditional Dance in 2010 or in the Draft of Law of the I.C.H. in Spain in 2011. This Plan of FEAF has been presented in several National and International Congresses (CID, IOV) with a great welcome.

Description

 

The main objetive of the project is to protect and to safeguard the European Intangible Cultural Heritage in different areas of intervention, such as ANALYSIS, INVESTIGATION, SPREADING,  FORMATION the CATALOGUING AND SAFEGUARD. This would be made in cooperation with several partners from different countries of the EU, knowing that it is necessary to follow the same way in the same direction., These objetives are aligned with the premises established by UNESCO and also with new Work Plan for Culture 2015-2017, established by the European Commission.

This project is another step further towards a deeper and more integrated collaboration  among European organizations and professionals that are experts in new technologies, researching methodologies and cultural industries.

 

The development and teaching of the Methodology of  Traditional Dance and Methodology and cataloguing of Intangible Cultural Heritage are important in this project, but it is neccessary to teach and work with researchers and students directly in order to improve access and to deepen our knowledge on these matters.

Traditional Music and Dance, as part of Performing Arts, need to be supported and improved to reach out the audiences and to be a reflection of the work that a lot of people is developing in associations and organizations. Publishing and researching about this Intangible Cultural Heritage is the way to complete the workflow, because we want to establish deeper relationships between tangible and intangible culture
Nowadays, it is important to facilitate  the access to culture and visual arts are a great way to obtain it, not only in audio-visual or digital arts, but also through media support
This project gathers some fields to be developed through different actions, all of them important in the same way and from several points of view
